Home is...
where change begins.
where dreams take root.
where we're nourished.
where we rest.
where we play.
where we want to be.
where it all starts.

What Is Home Matters?

Home Matters® is a movement – focused on raising awareness and funds – to make Home a reality for everyone.

With a broad coalition of leaders, community groups, like-minded companies, nonprofits and the public at large, we are allied out of an urgent need to show how Home is indispensable to each one of us, and to our country’s progress. We elevate the importance of Home, and its impact on our quality of life. If you believe in making Home a reality for all, join the Home Matters movement, follow us on social media and donate.

Why Home Matters

Home is where we're protected. It's where our health and spirits are restored. It's where we become empowered, encouraged, and inspired. Too often, though, Home is taken for granted in America. Home Matters returns the national focus and attention to Home!

Health

Healthy habits take root more easily in stable, affordable homes. Children grow strong and adults stay well, and live better.

Education

Children in stable homes learn and achieve more in school. Home helps level the playing field.

Success

Home recharges us for the work or school day ahead, so we better engage with the world around us.

Public Safety

When we take pride in our Home, we can take pride in our community and make it a safer place to live.

The Economy

By having a Home that is affordable, people of all income levels have more to spend and support the economy.

About Us

Who We Are

Home Matters is a movement that unites America around Home as the place where lives and families thrive, and as the bedrock for a stronger nation. As Home Matters grows, so too will public awareness of the proven connections between stable housing and jobs, education, health, the economy, public safety, and other important facets of American life.
